NTS Parts

When systems created manual work

NTS Parts had an online shop that did not meet the needs of the business, and an order process that involved manual steps. The solution was a single workflow linking product information, B2B e-commerce and the ERP system.

About NTS Parts

NTS Parts specialises in spare parts for vintage mopeds. The company has roots dating back to 1928 and a range of over 6,000 items. Parts of the range are manufactured in-house in Marmaverken.

When systems do not talk to each other, people have to do the work

For a company with thousands of products, product data quickly becomes a central part of the business.

When information needs to be managed in several places, orders are transferred manually or different systems hold different versions of the same information, the workload grows quickly.

So the problem was not just a broken online shop. It involved the entire flow from product information to orders and the ERP system.

A shared structure for product data and sales

CodeBridge started with the needs of the business and took responsibility for the whole process, from gathering requirements and writing specifications through to delivering working solutions.

We built a PIM system using Akeneo to hold all product information in one place. We connected it to a B2B online store and a public website showcasing the products. Everything was integrated with Visma Business.

Product information could then be used in several places without having to be recreated in each system. Orders and information could also flow between systems with less manual work.

The result

The change wasn't just about a new online store. NTS Parts gained a digital setup that better supported how the company actually worked and wanted to grow.
