The person who built the system is no longer there
The knowledge left with a former employee or supplier.

Take over systems
Has your supplier disappeared or your developer left? Is there too little knowledge of how your system works? We take over existing systems, fill the gaps in understanding and help you move forward with confidence.

The system can run every day and still be vulnerable. When no one understands how it was built, fixing faults, upgrading it and making changes all become harder than they need to be.
The first step is not to rebuild. It is to regain control.
The knowledge left with a former employee or supplier.

There is code and there are servers, but no overall picture of how the solution actually works.

The risk of affecting other parts of the system feels too high.

The business needs changes to the system, even though no one has its technical side under control.

We start by getting to know the system, its environments, databases and integrations, and how it is used in the business. Along the way, we identify which areas are most important to understand first.
Not everything needs to be documented at once. We document what you need to maintain, troubleshoot and build on the system, and build up our knowledge as we work on the solution.
Once we understand the current situation, we can separate urgent risks from things that can wait. These might involve outdated technology, unreliable integrations, hosting environments or parts of the system that rely heavily on specific people.
Taking over a system involves more than reading the code. The goal is to make sure the system can be maintained over time and that you know who's responsible when something happens or needs to change.
That is the whole point of getting help. Give us what you have and tell us what the system means to the business, and we will start working out the rest.
